Kids - Let's Speak!

How It Works

This course is designed for complete beginners. This course is for kindergarteners and first graders. For children who cannot read or write yet. This course focuses on pronunciation practice, acquainting children with English letter-sound associations, and developing proficiency in basic sentence structures.

As the course focuses on pronunciation, this sample task aims to evaluate the children’s ability to recognize and differentiate sounds. We encourage parents to complete the sample tasks with their children and discuss the exercises beforehand.

The sample task comprises four exercises:

The first and the second exercises are designed to assess whether the children can distinguish sound differences. Two words are presented with only one sound difference. The aim of this exercise is to see whether the children can differentiate between words with one sound difference. The children have to match the pictures and the words they hear.

The third exercise assesses the children’s ability to identify the sound’s position within words. The sound is presented in two words. First, in a word where the sound is at the end of the word. Second, in a word where the sound is at the beginning of the word. The sound symbol on the screen indicates the position of the sound in question. The children have to find where the sound can be heard in the word.

The fourth exercise evaluates the ability to memorize pictures based on audio.
